I love that quote! It's awesome how a writer can find conflict in even the simplest stories :)

I agree. :o) Sometimes it's the simplest stories that have the most resonance because they feel authentic and real. The world is full of everyday conflicts happening to everyday people.

I have never thought of it that way. Now I have something to tell my students. It's so true, even the youngest readers should take it to heart!
